The ROAM standard awning makes for an easy setup shelter for plenty of relief from the sweltering sun and inclimate weather. Designed to endure all of your adventures, it is made of waterproof, polycotton ripstop material with all-aluminum framing. Add on an awning room to the 6.5’ or 8' awnings for additional shelter. This awning comes with a universal mounting kit* and is designed for mounting to a variety of roof racks.
The Shade
The ROAM standard awning's shade is made with the same 280G RipStop ply/cotton material as the Vagabond roof top tents. The fact that ROAM uses the same material for their standard awnings as their tents, means that you can select a variety of colors that match exactly to your ROAM tent. Or mix and match to give your rig some contrast.
Built Tough
Most standard awnings on the market are built the same, and even come from the same factory. ROAM never likes to fit the status quo, and care about evolving overland products, so although it may sound simple, most other awnings on the market use plastic hinges. These plastic hinges are notorious for cracking, especially in colder temperatures and in windy situations. So what did ROAM do? They decided to use metal casted hinges instead, to provide extra stregth and rigidity to their product. Although you should always secure your awning using the provided tie downs and stakes, and put the awning away during any major storms that have high winds, you can still rest assured this beefy ROAM awnings will last during normal use for many many years.
Road Cover
When you aren't using the ROAM awning, it packs up thin and out of the way on the side of your roof / bed rack. The awning stays protected and dry due to ROAM's black, heavy duty, laminated, 720 GSM PVC cover.
Awning Room
Want a quick pop up shelter, but not ready to invest in a Roof Top Tent? Then the optional ROAM awning room is a great accessory that you can add to any ROAM 6.5' or 8' awning (not available for 4' or 5' awnings). This fully enclosed tent room is made with weather proof material and a heavy duty PVC floor to pretect you from the elements while providing you with a giant space inside to change or sleep in.
